About The Position

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY JOB DESCRIPTION ABOUT FOX SPORTS DIGITAL FOX Sports is home to innovation in live sports, storytelling, and fan engagement. We build digital products that connect millions of fans to the moments, communities, and experiences they love, across NFL, MLB, FIFA World Cup, NCAA football, and more. Our product team thrives at the intersection of creativity, data, and craft. We are reshaping how fans discover and return to FOX Sports, how we convert casual visitors into deeply engaged users, and how platform performance and monetization work together to sustain a world-class digital product. This is your chance to lead a team shaping the digital future of sports while advancing as a world-class product leader. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Director of Product, Sports Experiences & Partnerships to lead a team of product managers responsible for the live sports fan experience, AI-powered product innovation, and content distribution partnerships. This portfolio sits at the center of FOX Sports' most visible fan touchpoints, spanning live game companion experiences, Sports AI, editorial content surfaces, and emerging technology products. This isn't a role for a roadmap administrator. It's a role for a builder, coach, and leader who can operate across fan-facing product, AI-driven personalization, and partnership-aligned distribution while raising the standard of product craft across the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership of people and portfolios.
  • Track record of defining product strategy and delivering fan- or customer-facing digital products at scale.
  • Experience shipping AI-driven or personalization-forward consumer products.
  • Sports AI, search, or recommendations experience is a strong plus.
  • Technical fluency and ability to partner closely with engineering and analytics teams.
  • Experience managing partner-facing or integration-dependent product work a plus.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-visibility environments where priorities evolve quickly and the sports calendar is non-negotiable.
  • Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Sports, media, or entertainment background strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered product development, including feature personalization, search, and natural language interfaces.
  • Strong product craft: backlog discipline, JTBD framing, analytics-driven decision making, and outcome-driven roadmapping across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • A communicator who earns executive trust and can represent a complex, multi-surface portfolio with clarity and strategic conviction.
  • A leader who understands that live sports products operate on an unforgiving calendar and builds execution discipline accordingly.
  • A fan of sports who understands that games are more than scores. They are experiences, communities, and identities.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and strategy for a portfolio spanning live sports companion experiences, Sports AI features, AI-enabled search and navigation, and editorial content products.
  • Define and maintain roadmaps that balance near-term delivery against FIFA World Cup 2026 readiness, NFL/CFB season launches, and long-term platform capability.
  • Apply Jobs To Be Done rigor to ensure every initiative is rooted in real fan problems and delivers measurable engagement and business outcomes.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technology opportunities, including AI, real-time data, and personalization, and translate them into product bets with clear hypotheses.
  • Drive disciplined backlog management, user story definition, and go-to-market planning across a multi-PM team with overlapping deadlines and live sports constraints.
  • Ensure every initiative has clear acceptance criteria, leading and lagging metrics, and de-risking strategies, particularly for high-stakes launches tied to live events.
  • Partner with engineering, design, data, and editorial to define MVPs, test and learn quickly, and ship with quality at the speed the sports calendar demands.
  • Oversee partnership-aligned product work, including coordinating with FOX Sports content and distribution partners to deliver integrated fan experiences.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers across Sports AI & Innovation, Live Sports & Companion Experiences, AI-Enabled Search & Navigation, and Editorial & Content Products.
  • Coach PMs to own outcomes, not just outputs. This means writing strong user stories, framing opportunities with data, and navigating stakeholder complexity with confidence.
  • Build a team culture grounded in craft, clarity, and accountability, one that thrives on feedback, iteration, and fan-first problem solving.
  • Actively develop PM career paths, providing structured feedback, stretch assignments, and clear growth expectations.
  • Partner with FOX Sports executives and cross-functional leaders, including Engineering, Design, Editorial, and Distribution, to align product strategy with organizational priorities.
  • Represent the Sports Experiences & Partnerships portfolio in executive forums, communicating strategic value, delivery risk, and competitive positioning with clarity.
  • Champion organizational alignment across a portfolio that touches multiple internal teams and external partners, ensuring launches are universally supported and set up for success.
  • Drive partnership-facing product requirements and help translate business development commitments into executable product scope.
