Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
  • Eight to fifteen years of pricing leadership experience in building products, HVAC, industrial manufacturing, or durable consumer hard goods
  • C-level leadership influence experience highly preferred.
  • Operating experience under private equity ownership, including sponsor reporting cadence and accountability to a value-creation plan; consulting background in a pricing practice combined with operating roles also relevant.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Authorized for work within the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Command of two-step distribution economics, including rebate structures, volume tiers, co-op programs, and deviated pricing, along with big box retail pricing, including MAP policy and retail margin math.
  • Technical fluency with pocket price waterfall, price volume mix, and elasticity analysis, with the rigor to convert data into decisions that change behavior in Sales and Finance.
  • Judgment about sequence, knowing what to diagnose first, what to stand up early, and what not to touch while the pricing foundation is being built.
  • Experience executing price increases in a cost inflation environment, including pass-through mechanisms and realization tracking.
  • Commercial diplomacy to harmonize price across brands and redesign distributor programs without disrupting long-standing channel relationships; executive presence to present margin bridges and pricing progress to a sponsor from day one.
  • Implementation or administration of pricing software such as PROS, Pricefx, Vendavo, or Zilliant.

Responsibilities

  • Own price across 14 brands and three channels, working alongside senior commercial leadership and with direct visibility to the sponsor team.
  • Build the governance, tools, and single source of truth that make price a managed discipline across the portfolio.
  • Stand up the analytics foundation, including pocket-price waterfall visibility, elasticity testing on key SKU families, and margin bridge reporting to the leadership team and sponsor.
  • Rationalize list price structure, the discount waterfall, and net price bands across brands and channels, eliminating cross-brand cannibalization among the Duravent, Hart & Cooley, and Selkirk lines.
  • Redesign distributor program economics, including rebates, volume tiers, and deviated pricing, governed against clear net price bands.
  • Build material cost pass-through mechanisms for steel, aluminum, and freight exposure, and run a leakage audit across freight, payment terms, and returns to convert findings into standing policy.
