About The Position

The Director of Preconstruction supports Senior Preconstruction Managers with high-level decisions and risk mitigation. This role provides strategic planning across all aspects of preconstruction and senior guidance on go/no-go decisions. The Director manages the effectiveness and accuracy of the overall preconstruction department through the Senior Preconstruction Managers, directly leading, managing, training, and supervising them and indirectly supporting other preconstruction team members. The role also provides senior-level document review and advice on constructability, value analysis, pricing, scheduling, and risk avoidance.

Requirements

Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, preconstruction software applications, which may include Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Revit, BuildingConnected, On-Screen Takeoff, Agtek, Procore, Viewpoint Field Work Center, HCSS, and Destini.

Responsibilities

Support Senior Preconstruction Managers with high-level decisions and risk mitigation.
Provide strategic planning across all aspects of preconstruction and senior guidance on go/no-go decisions.
Manage the effectiveness and accuracy of the preconstruction department through the Senior Preconstruction Managers.
Lead, manage, train, and supervise Senior Preconstruction Managers directly and other preconstruction team members indirectly.
Regularly validate that Senior Preconstruction Managers are fulfilling their duties and interacting with, training, and supporting lower-tier team members effectively.
Review documents and provide senior-level advice on constructability, value analysis, pricing, scheduling, and risk avoidance.
