About The Position

Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located in the North Atlanta suburb of Dunwoody. Situated on 38 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to children, teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the inpatient pharmacy to ensure that medications are handled, stored, dispensed, and delivered in an appropriate manner. Duties are performed under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the rules established by the Joint Commission, standards of the Department of Mental Health, and in accordance with state and federal laws.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Pharmacy
Current license as a Pharmacist in the State of Georgia
5 years of hospital pharmacy experience required
3 years of leadership/management experience

Responsibilities

Establishment and implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to all Pharmacy functions
Providing Pharmacy clinical services to Physicians, Nurses, and Patients
Overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy
Supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
Effective cost management of medications
Chairperson of the P+T Committee
Reporting to the Quality Management Committee
