About The Position

The Director of Pharmacy Services provides clinical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for all pharmacy operations within the organization. The role ensures the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant medication management and compliance with applicable regulatory standards. The Director also serves as a leader and clinical resource for staffing the services.

Requirements

• Current pharmacist license for Iowa, or ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Three to five years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• At least two years of progressive supervisory, management, or leadership experience overseeing hospital pharmacy operations.
• One to two years of hands-on experience using Epic and automated pharmacy dispensing units.
• Demonstrated proficiency in applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and regulatory standards, as well as compounding standards.
• Experience leading an antibiotic stewardship program.

Nice To Haves

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of CMS Critical Access Hospital regulations for Iowa.
