About The Position

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Director of Pharmacy to direct all aspects of pharmacy operations. The role includes managing and mentoring staff, developing and enforcing policies and procedures, maintaining accreditation, and ensuring accountability for the pharmacy’s budget and productivity. The position is full-time and exempt, primarily working Monday through Friday according to business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• New Mexico Pharmacist license.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (MS, Pharm D, and MBA) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the organization’s clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements and objectives.
• Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service-level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality-control objectives.
• Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets and ensure the department operates within allocated funding.
• Coordinate and direct internal and external audits.
• Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Manage and mentor pharmacy staff, develop and enforce policies and procedures, maintain accreditation, and oversee accountability for the pharmacy’s budget and productivity.
