About The Position

Mosaic is seeking a high-impact Director of People Operations to lead their Western region. This role is for a strategic HR leader who thrives on building mission-driven teams and believes that compassionate care and a thriving workforce go hand in hand. The Director will serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, leading a dedicated team of People Operations Partners and fostering a culture of belonging, connection, faithfulness, and grit. This is a remote-flexible position that allows for impact on frontline services while traveling up to 30% to engage with the team, HR COE’s, and regional partners.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of HR experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
  • Hold (or will obtain within a year) a SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Ability to influence all levels of an organization and respectfully challenge the status quo to find the best possibilities and outcomes
  • Deep understanding of employment law and multiple HR disciplines, from performance management to organizational effectiveness and people relations
  • Understand, influence, and operationalize business strategy, knowing deeply how the business operates and turning that strategy into reality

Responsibilities

  • Guide, coach, and develop a team of People Operations Partners to maximize engagement and achieve excellence.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business goals, ensuring the workforce is prepared for the future.
  • Analyze workforce data and feedback to identify trends and create people-centered solutions that optimize outcomes and drive retention.
  • Work alongside HR Centers of Excellence—including Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards—to provide a seamless people experience.
  • Act as a calming presence and coach for leaders, helping them navigate complex challenges and strengthen their leadership capabilities.
  • Drive consensus among the highest levels of leadership, shaping the organizational environment to ensure talent initiatives are fully supported and funded.
