About The Position

At Tri-County Community Action Agency, we believe our employees are our greatest asset. For more than 60 years, we have worked to eliminate the violence of poverty through advocacy, empowerment, and self-sufficiency. We are seeking an innovative and people-focused leader to help us create an exceptional employee experience while supporting our mission-driven work across housing, Head Start, domestic violence services, youth and family services, weatherization, and community development programs. This is not a traditional Human Resources position. We are looking for a strategic leader who understands that compliance matters, but culture matters too. Someone who can build systems that support accountability while creating an environment where employees feel welcomed, valued, developed, and inspired to do their best work. The Director of People, Culture & Experience serves as the agency's senior leader for workforce strategy, organizational culture, talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, and human resources operations. This position oversees the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to professional development, employee engagement, performance management, and offboarding—while ensuring compliance with employment laws, Head Start regulations, licensing requirements, and grant-funded program standards.
