About The Position

The Director of Operations at Ledbetter Cowan Law Group is a pivotal role designed to transform and elevate the firm’s operational landscape. As the firm scales towards ambitious growth targets, this strategic leader will oversee all facets of operations, injecting efficiency, financial oversight, and scalable operational solutions across the firm. By taking ownership of operational leadership, the Director will empower the partners to focus more on legal advocacy and strategic growth, thereby significantly impacting client satisfaction, team synergy, and overall firm performance.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of independently leading operations in a professional services setting.
  • Expertise in budgeting, P&L management, and financial strategy essential for informed operational decisions.
  • Ability to recommend and implement solutions without needing continuous direction.
  • Capable of thinking strategically, challenging assumptions thoughtfully, and bringing well-reasoned recommendations to firm leadership as a true strategic partner rather than functioning as a task executor.
  • Experience in building infrastructure to nurture growth and operational scalability.
  • Experience in professional service operations, including medical, property management, or legal environments.
  • Thrives in an in-office role where collaboration and direct engagement with colleagues are integral to success.

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement advanced operational infrastructure to support projected growth and efficiency.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting visibility, and oversight of bookkeeping/CPA partnerships, helping build a more mature and accountable financial infrastructure.
  • Implement comprehensive KPI tracking and accountability systems, ensuring data-driven insights propel growth.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies across operational workflows and communication channels.
  • Lead initiatives with autonomy, ensuring seamless execution and fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving.
  • Modernize and optimize the technological stack to enhance firm operations and reporting capabilities.
  • Oversee HR functions, mentor staff, and make firm-wide personnel and vendor decisions to align with strategic goals.
