ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Director of Nutrition & Wellness Programs is responsible for leading the development and growth of the organization's nutrition and wellness services within a physician-led, value-based primary care model. This role combines direct patient care with strategic program leadership to improve clinical outcomes, enhance patient engagement, and expand preventive health services. The Director will provide evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) across the lifespan while designing innovative nutrition, weight management, metabolic health, and wellness programs, including a concierge-style wellness offering. Working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, this leader will integrate nutrition into population health initiatives, establish clinical standards, measure program outcomes, and build a scalable nutrition and wellness program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the applicable state(s), or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive clinical nutrition experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership, program management, or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in primary care, ambulatory care, value-based care, or population health preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based nutrition practices and chronic disease management.
  • Experience designing clinical programs or service lines preferred.
  • Familiarity with Medicare Advantage and value-based reimbursement models.
  • Experience using electronic health records and healthcare analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the organization's Nutrition & Wellness Program strategy.
  • Provide individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and nutrition counseling across the continuum of care.
  • Design and implement nutrition, weight management, metabolic health, and preventive wellness programs.
  • Develop clinical protocols, educational resources, and evidence-based nutrition initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health, pharmacy, care management, and quality teams to improve patient outcomes.
  • Monitor program performance, quality metrics, and patient outcomes to support value-based care objectives.
  • Build and lead a multidisciplinary nutrition and wellness team as the program grows.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
