About The Position

Wilson Care is seeking a Dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) for their Residential Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF). The ideal candidate must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with Psych Nursing Experience. Wilson Care is a 24/7 facility dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals affected by chronic psychiatric disorders. Located in the historic Updown Neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, consumers receive treatment in a residential, homelike setting.

Requirements

Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with Psych Nursing Experience
Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience
Current Registered Nurse (RN), license from the State of Illinois
Clinical and supervisory experience in a mental health facility required
Previous hospital and/or long term care facility experience required
Proven leadership and relationship building skills

Responsibilities

Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to support to the residents and their families
Supervise scheduling of staff to ensure uninterrupted service
Recruit staff
Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting
Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approval
Serve as the Infection Control Coordinator, reporting in all matters directly to the Administrator
Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee
Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator to ensure that all MDS forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Manager on duty weekend rotation
