About The Position

Breezy Golf is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead its marketing efforts. This role is responsible for the entire marketing system, from customer acquisition and retention to campaign and creative strategy. It's a growth-led leadership position with a primary focus on performance and growth marketing, including paid media, revenue planning, analytics, and profitability. The Director will also oversee brand and lifecycle strategy, guiding the eCommerce manager and directing the creative team and an outside brand consultant. The role reports directly to the GM and is measured on business results.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in eCommerce, growth, or performance marketing with a track record of profitable scaling.
  • 3+ years leading strategy, teams, or agencies.
  • Strong command of Meta Ads, Google Ads, PMAX paid economics, and attribution.
  • Experience managing significant monthly ad budgets.
  • Solid understanding of contribution margin, CAC, LTV, and eCommerce financials.
  • Proven ability to build forecasts and communicate performance clearly to leadership.
  • Experience managing agencies, media buyers, and creative or lifecycle partners.

Responsibilities

  • Translate top-line revenue goals into a clear, channel-level marketing strategy.
  • Set and manage metrics and targets (AOV, conversion rate, CAC, ROAS, MER) and translate them into required traffic and spend.
  • Maintain command of full contribution margin, including advertising and discounts, in partnership with operations and product teams.
  • Own paid acquisition strategy across Meta, Google, and emerging channels, managing media buyers and agencies against key performance indicators.
  • Continuously audit spend and make rapid, informed adjustments.
  • Build rolling forecasts and coordinate the promotional calendar, modeling margin impact and running post-promotion analysis.
  • Own campaign strategy end-to-end, including go-to-market approach, rationale, and timing.
  • Oversee the in-house creative team, serving as the final approver for creative based on growth data and strategy.
  • Build a repeatable creative-testing system, including briefs, hooks, angles, fatigue, and iteration.
  • Coordinate drop and seasonal rollouts across paid, organic, email, and SMS, aligned with product and inventory timing.
  • Guide and mentor the eCommerce manager who owns email, SMS, loyalty, and lifecycle execution.
  • Set retention strategy and hold the function accountable for repeat-purchase rate, LTV, and returning-customer revenue.
  • Establish and own core KPIs (CAC, LTV, ROAS, MER, contribution margin).
  • Lead a weekly growth review and maintain a concise scorecard with accountable owners.
  • Set clear expectations for media buyers, agencies, the eCommerce manager, creative team, and outside partners.
  • Build operating rhythms and recommend when to hire, outsource, or automate.
