About The Position

MV Ventures (“MVV”) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Marketing to lead all marketing initiatives for our residential, commercial and entertainment developments in the Twin Cities. This role will be the primary driver of all marketing functions, while also overseeing manager level staff responsible for event programming and partnerships/sponsorship activation. This position blends strategy and execution and is ideal for a marketing leader who enjoys owning outcomes, analyzing data, managing vendors/agencies, and driving measurable growth across both B2C and B2B channels. Our ideal candidate will be instrumental in further developing the Viking Lakes brand, as well as managing additional brand extensions across our portfolio. This will require an enthusiastic, pragmatic and self-motivated individual with a passion for marketing, media and project management. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience managing multiple direct reports
  • 3+ years of experience managing six-figure budgets
  • Expert level understanding of consumer marketing practices
  • Ability to demonstrate significant experience and expertise in two or more of the following areas: consumer marketing, event marketing/ticket sales, brand strategy, organic social media, paid social media, SEO, real estate marketing
  • Track record of success driving multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and revenue growth
  • Ability to seamless shift between strategic thinking and hands on execution
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization and related entities
  • Highly creative and innovative thinker, with a keen eye for detail
  • Understanding of SEO, lead attribution, and ROI
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors

Responsibilities

  • Drive all marketing department activities and initiatives, from initial research and KPI setting through execution to final analytics reports
  • Oversee manager level staff responsible for event programming and brand partnership/sponsorship activation
  • Translate the organizational vision into marketing plans, event programming and related initiatives
  • Lead marketing related collaboration with stakeholders from related entities and campus partners (Minnesota Vikings, Omni Viking Lakes Hotel, city/regional partners, real estate tenants, etc.)
  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation
  • Develop brand campaigns for Viking Lakes and related sub-brands, events and branded initiatives
  • Refresh style guides while ensuring all entities and partners adhere to brand standards
  • Day-to-day management of social media accounts, including developing the social media strategy, content calendar and tone of voice for all social platforms
  • Work with the brand partnerships/sponsorship team to drive value and excellence in our programs, develop new partnership assets and support sales/revenue generation efforts
  • Monitor and track analytics on relevant media platforms, including ROI on media spend
  • In conjunction with the residential teams, coordinate and manage advertising and programming budgets for all Minnesota properties with the goal of driving visibility and traffic
  • Manage segmentation of the database and implement remarketing strategies
  • Implement data and analytics best practices for our current processes
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, influencers, and community stakeholders to amplify brand messaging
