About The Position

The Westin Tempe is searching for an experienced Director of Marketing to drive visibility, buzz, and revenue across one of the Valley's most energetic hotel and dining destinations. With five distinct food and beverage outlets, a prime location steps from Arizona State University, and a vibrant local scene, this role demands a creative, hands-on marketer who knows how to fill seats and keep the energy high. This is not a traditional hotel marketing role. You'll spend as much time thinking like a restaurateur as a hotelier—crafting campaigns that make locals choose us for happy hour, students celebrate here, and visitors stumble onto outlets they'll rave about. Our outlets are lively, fun, and built for people-watching—and your marketing should match that energy.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Communicate well with guests
  • Willingness to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player
  • Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections
  • A minimum of 2 years prior experience in digital strategy development and execution is required
