About The Position

The Westin Tempe is looking for a full-time Cook to join their Culinary Team. This role involves servicing food and beverages to guests in the restaurant in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. The Cook is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.

Responsibilities

• Servicing food and beverages to guests around the restaurant.
• Preparing food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards.
• Maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Adhering to hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance.
• Solving routine problems that occur on the job.
• Adhering to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
