About The Position

Bannister Automotive Group is seeking an exceptional Director of Marketing & Strategy to lead the next evolution of their dealership group. This is a strategic leadership role focused on building brands, generating high-quality leads at scale, and creating alignment across a group with strong store-level autonomy. Success requires a blend of marketing expertise, innovation, operational excellence, and influence. The Director will lead an in-house team covering analytics, digital advertising, design, content, and social media, while collaborating closely with General Managers and executive leadership. The ideal candidate understands how to build measurable and scalable marketing systems and infrastructure, alongside driving growth through creative and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Senior marketing leadership experience in a multi-location or multi-brand environment.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, SEO/SEM, social media, CRM marketing, analytics, attribution, automation, AI tools, and brand development.
  • Experience improving reporting, measurement, and marketing performance through technology and process.
  • Proven ability to drive measurable growth and business performance.
  • Strategic, innovative, and highly adaptable.
  • An exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable influencing experienced operators, General Managers, and senior leaders.
  • Data-driven without losing creativity.
  • Able to create alignment while respecting autonomy.
  • Experienced in modern digital marketing ecosystems, analytics, and automation.
  • A builder of systems, culture, and momentum.
  • Knows how to earn trust, create buy-in, and unite people behind a common vision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall marketing strategy for Bannister Automotive Group.
  • Drive lead generation performance, lead quality, conversion rates, and marketing-attributed sales across the group.
  • Strengthen dealership brands while leveraging the advantages of being part of a larger organization.
  • Align group-level strategy with store-level objectives, creating buy-in while respecting local autonomy.
  • Optimize marketing investment, vendor performance, and campaign ROI.
  • Build and continuously improve the group's marketing technology ecosystem, reporting environment, and attribution capabilities.
  • Connect CRM, DMS, website, advertising, and analytics platforms into a reliable and actionable reporting framework.
  • Establish scalable marketing processes, automation, standards, and documentation that improve consistency and accountability.
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies, AI tools, and innovative marketing solutions that improve efficiency and results.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
  • Build trusted relationships with General Managers and leadership teams across the group.
  • Translate data into actionable business decisions and clear strategic direction.
  • Create alignment across multiple dealerships while maintaining a culture built on autonomy.
