About The Position

Walsh Jesuit High School is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications who is responsible for developing strategy and leading all communications, marketing, and public relations efforts. This position plays a vital role in elevating the school’s reputation, strengthening community engagement, and supporting admissions and advancement goals. The Director of Marketing and Communications works under the supervision of the Vice President of Advancement and supervises the Digital Communications Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field
  • Minimum of five to seven years’ experience in a professional environment
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Commitment to Jesuit values and faith-based student formation.
  • Embrace and display Catholic/Christian values and spiritual life.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive, data-informed marketing and communications strategy aligned with institutional priorities
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to create strategic marketing plans, particularly supporting enrollment and retention, fundraising, academics, mission and identity, and athletics
  • Identify and cultivate community partnerships to expand brand visibility and engagement
  • Manages a comprehensive media relations program that includes both proactive and reactive tactics designed to protect, support, and enhance Walsh Jesuit’s image and awareness, reinforcing the key messages and organization’s goals.
  • Establishes, leverages and maintains relationships with local and national media outlets
  • Oversee Digital Communications Coordinator (DCC)
  • Develop strategy and monitor digital channels, including social media and the website in collaboration with the DCC
  • Supervise content creation, publishing calendars, and engagement monitoring
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies that keep stakeholders informed and aligned
  • Lead the development, writing, and production of school-wide publications, including Walsh Jesuit’s magazine, Warrior Paths
  • Review and approve all school publications to ensure brand consistency, quality and alignment with messaging
  • Embrace, display, and support Catholic/Christian values and spiritual formation. Regular participation in Ignatian formation activities including the school’s formal formation program, school masses, retreats, and other activities/events as scheduled.
