Maintenance Manager
About The Position
NHC Knoxville is seeking a Director of Maintenance who can deal tactfully and effectively with patients, families, fellow employees, and visitors. The qualified applicant must have at least two years of experience in maintenance and in various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The Director of Maintenance plans, directs, and supervises the maintenance program for the physical plant, institutional equipment, and vehicles. The role also trains, instructs, and supervises other maintenance personnel; maintains records of work performed and associated costs; and advises and consults with the administrator about maintenance and repair needs involving the structure, equipment, and grounds.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of local codes, ordinances, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and supervise the maintenance program for the physical plant, institutional equipment, and vehicles.
- Train, instruct, and supervise other maintenance personnel.
- Maintain records of work performed and costs involved.
- Advise and consult with the administrator on maintenance and repair needs concerning the structure, equipment, and grounds.
- Deal tactfully and effectively with patients and families.
