The Director of Library and Learning Resources is an educator and an active member of the academic community, reporting to the Dean for Academic Affairs. This role involves engaging students and faculty in finding, evaluating, and using information effectively, positioning the library as a center for learning. The Director leads the University of Olivet's library services, research support, and information literacy for both residential and online learners. This includes managing collections, systems, budget, and daily operations to ensure resources are accessible, reliable, and current, with an increasing focus on electronic and consortially shared resources. The position also supports students and faculty in using the learning management system and digital learning tools, and serves as the campus liaison for course materials and textbook affordability in partnership with the bookstore. The library is envisioned as the hub of academic life outside the classroom, and the Director will foster a vibrant, welcoming environment for all learners and scholars.
