About The Position

Inner Circle Autism Network (ICAN) is seeking a passionate, innovative, and experienced Director of Learning & Development (DLD) to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of clinical training and professional development programs across the organization. This leadership role involves partnering with executive and regional clinical leaders to develop training strategies, elevate clinician competency, strengthen leadership pipelines, and ensure teams deliver exceptional outcomes for children and families. The ideal candidate is a BCBA energized by mentorship, systems development, clinical excellence, and organizational impact.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited university in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education/Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Pediatric Therapy, or a related field.
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Active state licensure where required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of BCBA experience.
  • Significant experience providing ABA services to children with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring clinical professionals.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based clinical practices and treatment methodologies.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and training initiatives.
  • Experience working with diverse learner acquisition and behavior profiles.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across departments and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee comprehensive learning pathways for BCBAs, Treatment Directors, Regional Clinical Leaders, and other clinical staff.
  • Develop onboarding, leadership development, and ongoing training programs that align with ICAN's mission, values, and clinical philosophy.
  • Create and implement training initiatives grounded in evidence-based practices, current research, and industry standards.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate training effectiveness and clinical impact.
  • Partner with regional leaders to identify opportunities for growth and performance improvement.
  • Support treatment fidelity, quality assurance initiatives, and evidence-based clinical practices throughout the organization.
  • Develop and update clinical policies, procedures, and training resources.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development support to BCBAs, Treatment Directors, and regional leaders.
  • Design and oversee BCBA development plans and leadership growth pathways.
  • Lead development of ICAN's Fieldwork Student Supervision curriculum and trainee development initiatives.
  • Facilitate monthly BCBA trainings, workshops, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Serve as ICAN's ACE Coordinator and help establish relationships with external experts and professional organizations.
  • Help maintain compliance with CASP, BHCOE, and other accrediting bodies.
  • Ensure training programs align with insurance payor requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance leadership to improve documentation quality and clinical compliance.
  • Review clinical outcomes data and training metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to implement initiatives that improve client outcomes and clinician performance.
  • Participate in strategic planning for the future of ICAN's clinical education and leadership development programs.
