Following the foundational upgrade from SAP ECC 6.0, this leader will guide deployment of new S/4HANA functionality and modules, modernize data and integration architecture, and introduce AI-driven capabilities into daily operations. The role owns the S/4HANA platform roadmap and measurable business outcomes across core ERP value streams. It leads a 12-person internal team and governs an Application Management Services agreement with a global delivery partner. The director will make architectural and build-versus-extend-versus-configure decisions, promote a clean-core, low-customization approach, and translate manufacturing, installation, field service, supply chain, and finance priorities into an enterprise ERP roadmap. The director also serves as platform Product Owner and evangelist, building executive alignment and influencing enterprise strategy. Responsibilities span new module deployments, SAP IBP, EWM, MES evaluation, field service platform strategy, SAP Ariba, BTP extensions and integration, data architecture and governance, AI and agentic capabilities, Signavio, WalkMe, and Salesforce-to-S/4HANA integration. The position may require 10–25% domestic and international travel depending on project and customer engagement work.
