About The Position

The Director of IT is Tideworks’ single accountable leader for information technology and reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The role leads Tideworks’ transition from shared services to stand-alone IT operations, ensuring required capabilities are operational before each service cutover or TSA expiration. After the transition, the Director builds and runs a secure, reliable, and efficient IT function that supports the company’s objectives. The Director owns corporate IT, end-user computing, cybersecurity, identity and collaboration, infrastructure and networking, service desk, business applications, enterprise integrations, data and reporting platforms, domain and DNS administration, and go-to-market systems. The role recruits and leads IT personnel and manages carve-out vendors and consultants. In coordination with the CTO and Product Engineering, the Director maintains clear boundaries for product hosting and engineering infrastructure, including the Lynnwood data center, EDI, and TOS environments. The position works cross-functionally with the CFO, CTO, Sales Operations, Customer Success, RevOps, HR, and Finance. It owns IT strategy, roadmap, budget, policies, access controls, risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and the transition plan and governance for separating Tideworks IT from shared services. The Director also provides IT-side support for the NetSuite ERP migration and coordinates the IFS/TM1 transition, while Finance and the implementation partner own business design, configuration, and financial-data validation. Ongoing responsibilities include operating corporate IT and security services; managing endpoint, identity, network, helpdesk, and business application services; maintaining vendors, inventories, integrations, records, and recovery capabilities; administering go-to-market systems; and partnering with business leaders to prioritize technology work. The role also supports audits, SOC 2 Type II activities, customer security reviews, and security questionnaires.
