About The Position

The Director of Institutional Advancement manages a comprehensive program at a Community College Campus to locate sources of funds, to prepare grant requests, to develop long term relationships with donor organizations and individuals, to solicit and to manage funds from these sources. Under the direction of the Campus President or designee, the Director of Institutional Advancement is accountable for providing for the long-term financial support of the Campus from sources external to the Campus regular funding through effective performance in these essential duties: Key responsibilities include: Identifying and developing funding sources; Cultivating and soliciting voluntary fund sources; Managing, allocating, safeguarding and accounting for development funds. Additional responsibilities include: Attendance and participation at convocation and commencement ceremonies Service on assigned committees and task forces Attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational and professional meetings which may occur during evenings and weekends. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriately relevant field together with two (2) or more years of experience in a related field or a combination of education, training and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential duties

  • Fiscal management and grant administration

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
