About The Position

The Director of HIM Operations will direct HIM operations functions to ensure consistent operations in accordance with the Firm’s policies and procedures. This role involves developing the infrastructure support framework to enable revenue growth, enhanced profitability, and/or productivity. The Director will identify, develop, and implement best practices and procedures for internal and external operational improvements. A key responsibility is to direct the overall audit and compliance requirements needed to comply with Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as client contract requirements. The position also oversees the Accounts Receivable process to ensure collection and low AR percentage is maintained, and analyzes and ensures compliance with operational KPI metrics. The Director will serve as a liaison with Corporate concerning administrative matters in regard to client, consultant, and/or core employee matters. Collaboration with executive leadership is expected to evaluate and adjust processes to improve operational efficiency and provide operational excellence. The role participates in formulating HIM market strategy and makes recommendations on major business decisions. Coordination and resolution of escalated issues are also part of the responsibilities, as is ensuring employees are trained in new and existing systems and processes. The Director will develop annual budget requirements for operations teams and perform duties in compliance with Company’s policies and procedures, including those related to HIPAA and compliance.
