About The Position

The Director of Healthcare leads the clinical team and nursing department, overseeing resident care to ensure it is personalized, exceptional, and respectful of residents’ dignity and independence. The role coordinates clinical operations, regulatory compliance, resident assessments and care planning, health and safety, medication management, infection control, and quality assurance. It also develops nursing team members and supports collaborative care with physicians, families, and other staff.

Requirements

Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN).
Experience in senior living, assisted living, or long-term care.
Proven leadership skills and ability to build strong, collaborative teams.
Thorough understanding of state healthcare regulations.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Passion for providing resident-centered care.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete administrative tasks correctly and on time.
Objectivity and openness to others’ views; ability to give and welcome feedback and contribute to a positive team spirit.
Understanding of business and the implications of decisions on the business.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursing department, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and clinical best practices.
Conduct resident assessments and coordinate care plans with physicians, families, and other staff.
Monitor resident health and safety, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
Oversee medication management, infection control, and quality assurance programs.
Mentor and develop nursing team members to maintain a high standard of care.
