About The Position

Under the guidance of the Sr. Director of Growth Marketing and Philanthropy, the Director, Growth Marketing will oversee the development and management of ADRA International growth marketing efforts, including digital engagement, adoption, creative, content gathering, and event management that is required to support the long-term strategic direction. This role is responsible for the integration of effective full funnel, performance, growth marketing strategies, both internally and externally, across all functional areas of ADRA International. This position will also provide leadership, strategic vision, and direction to a team of marketing professionals including professional development. This position is a member of ADRA's senior leadership team and serves as a key leader on organization-wide strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field required
  • 7-10 years progressive marketing experience, including at least 3 years of experience leading teams and managing budgets.
  • Experience in leading teams, including responsibility for strategy, personnel, and fiscal management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and experience with some of; integrated marketing, GTM, full-funnel campaigns, performance marketing, social media, search engine optimization, digital communications, influencer marketing, and web practices for engaging supporters/customers and raising funds/revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data-driven strategic marketing plans and campaigns with both quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Applied experience developing partnerships and collaborating with diverse teams across a similarly sized organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and act upon opportunities to enrich and expand an organization’s relevancy to donors, a supporter base, external stakeholders, and partners.
  • Strong partnership-oriented and collaborative working style; strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy; superb listening and influencing skills; the ability to cultivate and sustain trust and credibility with colleagues.
  • Excellent organization skills and demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, define goals and assess the effectiveness of initiatives and projects.

  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications, website management, and digital/social media content creation and management.
  • Effective, articulate, and persuasive public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills — ensuring projects deliver on time by working with the right people on the job.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly while managing numerous projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Preferred.
  • Understanding of international relief and development issues, challenges and trends is a plus.
  • Previous experience volunteering in developing countries (mission trips, student missionaries, short-term work with ADRA, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the events, creative and digital teams, as well as contractors and others as needed
  • Responsible for staff performance and development goals, establishing staff priorities, and conducting annual performance appraisals.
  • Translate the vision, strategy, and priorities for the Growth Marketing team to advance the Growth Marketing and Philanthropy team and position among vital internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advance audience growth and engagement strategies while supporting organizational brand objectives.
  • Lead in the planning, development, and implementation of the growth marketing, strategy that includes social media, print, events, digital content, and email marketing.
  • Monitor growth marketing investments and vendor expenditures and evaluate ROI on all channels.
  • Owns campaign strategy, audience growth, conversion, and marketing performance.
  • Develop and optimize supporter and donor journeys from awareness through awareness, consideration, conversion, retention, and advocacy.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for audience growth, engagement, donor acquisition, conversion, and revenue generation.
  • Oversee the development and production of all marketing publications, collateral communication material, and social media initiatives related to growth.
  • Build strategic, integrated, and comprehensive multi-media communications for diverse audiences that build organizational visibility, credibility, engagement, and donor support.
  • Oversee the utilization and evaluation of new and existing digital technologies to further the work of ADRA in relationship to growth marketing and brand awareness.
  • Provide inclusive team leadership that inspires creativity, utilizes data analytics to make strategic and data-driven decisions, adopts new technology, implements best practices, and maximizes opportunities.
  • Work with leadership team and staff to identify internal and external marketing communication opportunities and develop strategies that support solutions.
  • Support the Sr. Director of Growth Marketing & Philanthropy, Director for Philanthropy, Director of Adventist Partnerships, and Director of Brand and Media in the planning and implementation of department, team, and organizational strategic goals and objectives.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key partners and represent ADRA at professional and community events, in a leadership role.
  • Assist in the fundraising and development process by building and maintaining awareness and authentic relationships with supporters, donors, and partners.
