About The Position

Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Director of Golf Course & Resort Landscape Operations for its Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. This role is crucial for maintaining the renowned Tranquilo Golf Course and the resort's landscapes, ensuring a high-quality experience for members and guests. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy
Must have or be able to obtain State of Florida Pesticide Applicator License
Thorough understanding of business principles, financial accountability, and agronomy practices
Proven effective planning and communication
Must have a TEAM mentality.
Must be self-motivated, lead by example, and have a strong attention to detail.
Ability to analyze and solve problems, and efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure.
Aptitude for administrative and executive responsibilities including effective oral and written communication skills.
Must know how to operate and calibrate fertilizer and pesticide equipment.
Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations and is responsible for the safety and direction of chemical handlers and/or helpers.
Must possess a valid Florida Pesticide applicators license.
Minimum of 2 years as a Golf Course Superintendent or Director of Golf Course Landscape Operations or Equivalent
Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Seasoned experience in resort landscape operations and a private golf membership
The right candidate must have the willingness to grow and learn as well as having a desire to advance their career in the turf grass industry.
This position will be directly involved with creating and adapting the daily work schedule on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Two or four-year degree in Turfgrass Management or completion of Turf Management related certificate program preferred.

Ensure smooth daily operations through creativity, quick problem-solving, and timely decision-making.
Maintain consistently high course playability year-round by coordinating closely with maintenance teams, anticipating seasonal challenges, and implementing proactive turf and grounds strategies.

Maintain application sheets and documents for inventory control.
Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with regulations and ensure safety.
Assist with managing payroll and operating budget.
Work with Golf Operations staff to coordinate tournaments, weather-related closures, and special requests.
Hire, train, and supervise maintenance staff.
Oversee the seeding, fertilizing, topdressing, soil conditioning, watering, and pest and weed control of the golf course and practice facility.
Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, OSHA rules and regulations, relating to chemical and fertilizer storage and disposal, employee safety, and public safety.
