About The Position
Delaware North Gaming is hiring a Director of Finance at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. The Director of Finance leads organizational and financial planning and provides analytical support for new business proposals. The role includes responsibility for financial reporting, financial projects and systems implementation, audit follow-up, and cage department operations. Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack, owned and operated by Delaware North, has more than 1,500 video gaming machines. It offers live thoroughbred racing from April through November, year-round simulcast wagering on thoroughbred and harness racing, and several dining options, including a large buffet.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 5 years in a financial management role as a controller or director.
- Experience with compliance reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn internal financial software.
- Ability to obtain and retain a New York Gaming Commission license.
Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and interpret financial information to appraise operating results.
- Direct financial profit and loss and cash flow statement reporting based on past, present, and future operations.
- Oversee the execution of finance-related projects and system implementation.
- Review audit findings and assist in developing action plans and enforcing solutions.
- Direct cage department operational needs, control requirements, procedural efficiencies, and resolution of guest complaints.
