About The Position

The Director of Finance reports to the Chief Financial Officer and leads the site financial analytics function. This includes retention, reimbursement, operational financial support, monthly variance analysis and explanations, management and board reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business development pro formas, the Medicare cost report, and State of Georgia Department of Community Health statutory reporting.

The role serves as a catalyst for hospital initiatives and processes designed to support the growth, capture, management, collection, and reporting of patient service revenue while reducing costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and/or a related field.
• Five to seven years of experience in healthcare, business analytics, operations analysis, or accounting/finance.
• Management skills and people and process/project management skills.
• Proactive nature, self-discipline, and excellent communication.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Ability to influence people at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Healthcare or Business.
• Two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
