About The Position

The Director of Estimating Services leads and supports the Remote Estimating Writing Team as part of the US Operations Leadership Team. The role focuses on making the team the preferred third-party remote estimating partner for the Paul Davis network. It uses modern technology and workflows to improve estimate cycle time and gross profit, and recruits and retains Paul Davis offices for program participation. The position reports to the SVP US Operations and is described as hybrid, with flexible work-from-home options and travel of up to 50%. Work is primarily conducted remotely by email, video conference, and telephone; a stable internet connection and use of provided VPN technology are required. The Director oversees team performance, reporting, service-level and quality standards, goal-setting, and hiring, onboarding, and training. The role requires effective communication with stakeholders and the ability to influence change and present to groups of varying sizes. Requirements

High school diploma or some college.
At least 3 years of experience with estimation principles for the insurance industry.
At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Proven track record of leading a remote estimating team in the restoration industry.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
Knowledge of common estimating principles and platforms for the insurance and commercial industry.
Knowledge of modern technology in restoration, estimate writing, and the insurance/commercial industry.
Proven leadership skills.
Ability to review and write estimates for services provided by the Paul Davis network.
Ability to obtain and maintain WTR, ASD, Mold, and other required certifications.
Ability to use Xactware, Symbility, and other estimating platforms, products, and technology.
Ability to communicate effectively by email, telephone, and with small and large groups.
Ability to operate office equipment, including fax, scanner, printer, phone system, and computers.
Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
Self-driven, with conceptual thinking ability and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to pass and maintain a satisfactory background check.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Stable internet connection when working out of the office.
Ability to be productive with minimal supervision.
Ability to safely operate a passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the Remote Estimating Writing Team.
Use modern technology to improve estimate cycle time and gross profit.
Recruit and retain Paul Davis offices to participate in the program.
Provide reporting on team performance against stated goals as needed.
Participate and contribute as a member of the US Operations Leadership Team.
Ensure service level agreements, carrier and commercial guidelines, and IICRC standards are met or exceeded.
Hold the team and individual team members accountable for meeting or exceeding agreed SMART goals.
Recruit, select, hire, onboard, and train team members.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Provide trend analysis of internal performance to appropriate stakeholders as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel to franchise locations, trainings, and team meetings as needed, potentially up to 50%.
Use provided VPN technology to securely connect when working remotely.
