About The Position

The Director of Estimating Services leads the US Operation’s Remote Estimating Team and works to make it the preferred third-party remote estimating partner for the Paul Davis network. The role uses modern technology and workflows to improve estimate cycle time and gross profit, recruits and retains Paul Davis offices for the program, and influences change through presentations to groups of varying sizes. The position is hybrid, with work conducted remotely from a home office and travel that may reach 50%. The employee must have stable internet access and use the provided VPN when working remotely. The director is a member of the US Operations Leadership Team and is responsible for team performance, reporting, service-level compliance, and recruiting, selecting, hiring, onboarding, and training team members. The role requires effective communication with stakeholders, independent judgment, and the ability to review and write estimates for services provided by the Paul Davis network. The role may require occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling, moving around the office, and lifting up to 10 pounds. It requires extended stationary work and frequent operation of a computer and office equipment, as well as the ability to observe documents and screens, communicate by telephone, and safely operate a passenger vehicle. Requirements

High school diploma or some college.
At least 3 years of experience with estimation principles for the insurance industry.
At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Proven track record leading a remote estimating team in the restoration industry.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
Knowledge of common estimating principles and platforms used in the insurance and commercial industry.
Knowledge of modern technology in the restoration, estimate-writing, and insurance/commercial industries.
Proven leadership skills.
Ability to review and write estimates for all services provided by the Paul Davis network.
Ability to obtain and maintain WTR, ASD, Mold, and other required certifications.
Ability to use Xactware, Symbility, and other estimating platforms, products, and technology.
Ability to communicate effectively by email and telephone and with small and large groups.
Ability to use office equipment, including fax, scanner, printer, phone system, and computers.
Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
Self-driven, able to conceptualize, and exceptionally attentive to detail.
Ability to pass and maintain a satisfactory background check.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Must have stable internet access when working outside the office and use the provided VPN for secure remote connections.
Ability to safely operate a passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the Remote Estimating Writing Team.
Use modern technology to improve estimate cycle time and gross profit.
Recruit and retain Paul Davis offices for the program.
Provide reporting on team performance against stated goals as needed.
Participate as a member of the US Operations Leadership Team and contribute to leadership functions.
Ensure service-level agreements, carrier and commercial guidelines, and IICRC standards are met or exceeded.
Hold the team and individual team members accountable for meeting or exceeding agreed SMART goals.
Recruit, select, hire, onboard, and train team members.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Provide trend analysis of internal performance to appropriate stakeholders as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
