About The Position

The Director, Enterprise Change & Demand Management is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide change management processes that guide work from initial intake through approval, planning, execution, and reporting. This role ensures that all demand—ranging from issue resolution and continuous improvement to large-scale, cross-functional programs—is evaluated, prioritized, and delivered in a way that balances business value, customer experience, and associate experience. This hands-on role will act as a connector between business leaders, operational teams, technical partners, and Project Management. This role will influence and create simple, efficient, and scalable workflows that enable informed decision-making without adding unnecessary burden to the organization.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in change management, portfolio/demand management, program management, or business transformation
  • Strong experience in designing and governing enterprise-wide processes
  • Proven ability to partner with senior business, operational, and technology leaders
  • Experience working closely with Project Management organizations and delivery teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance structure and governance with speed and business enablement

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and run the end-to-end change and demand intake process, guiding work from request submission through funding approval, scope definition, effort estimation, planning, and execution.
  • Enable consistent evaluation and prioritization of all demand impacting the bank, including: Issue and problem remediation, Regulatory, risk, and control-driven changes, Process and technology improvements, Cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish clear criteria and decision frameworks to support prioritization, enabling business partners by simplifying how requests are defined, sized, routed and decisioned, helping teams get support without creating administrative burden.
  • Partner with operational and technical leaders to design intake workflows that efficiently capture the right information from business leaders at the right time.
  • Create lightweight standards that support strong governance while remaining practical in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ensure processes are: Intuitive and easy to use, Scalable across functions, Focused on enabling, not hindering, business outcomes.
  • Continuously assess and refine processes to improve speed, clarity, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management, Application, Product, and Technology delivery teams to ensure standards, methodologies, and procedures are consistently applied and translate into real execution practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, supporting consistent use of intake criteria, stage gates, and portfolio hygiene routines (e.g., status quality, decision logs, scope change discipline).
  • Promote strong change management discipline while remaining pragmatic and business focused.
  • Flow information for Risk, Compliance and other partners to review &/or approve impact assessments.
  • Bridge gaps between business intent and delivery reality by improving definition of done, sequencing, and dependency clarity.
  • Embed customer and associate experience considerations into all change processes and decisions.
  • Ensure that governance and controls add value and do not create unnecessary friction for business partners. Drive simplicity and clarity so their experience is as a service and not a barrier.
  • Advocate for clarity, transparency, and simplicity in how change is requested, evaluated, and delivered.
  • Provide reporting that makes visible all demand impacting the company, across sizes and types of work.
  • Create dashboards and decision-ready views for leaders (pipeline, approvals, capacity impact, aging, portfolio mix).
  • Establish data standards and definitions so reporting is trusted, actionable, and consistent.
