About The Position

Community Medical Center is seeking a confident, collaborative, and clinically grounded leader to serve as Director of Emergency Services. This role provides strategic, operational, nursing, and emergency personnel leadership for the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality, timely, patient-centered emergency care for the communities we serve. The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, staffing, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and financial performance of the Emergency Department. The Director works closely with medical staff, nursing leadership, hospital administration, EMS partners, and community stakeholders to support safe, efficient, and effective emergency care in a rural hospital setting.

Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse, Paramedic, APRN, or Physician Assistant
Minimum of five years of emergency services experience, with a minimum of two years in a hospital setting.
Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and organized.
Initiative to solve problems.
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of patient care standards mandated by regulatory agencies.
Current Nebraska License (per profession).
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or ATLS certified.

Nice To Haves

Leadership experience in an emergency setting highly preferred but not required.
Certification in area of specialty preferred.
