Requirements

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or Restaurant Service, preferred
  • Food Safety certification, required
  • Previous experience cooking in a similar environment
  • Working under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to lead a team effectively
  • Lifting trays and dishes, occasionally moving dining tables and furniture
  • An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers
  • Punctuality & reliability

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the entire operation of the culinary department
  • Training and supervision of all department associates
  • Maintaining inventory of food, supplies and equipment
  • Managing the budget
  • Preparing and serving food/refreshments
  • Overseeing set-up for all meals and special events
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and smooth functioning of the kitchen and dining room to provide a gracious dining experience for residents
