About The Position

The Director of Demand Planning consolidates enterprise-wide forecasting, demand planning, supply distribution strategy, and supply disruption mitigation for the MUSC Health network under one accountable leader. Based at the MUSC Health Consolidated Service Center (CSC), the role operates under limited supervision and owns the statistical demand signal that informs purchasing, stocking locations, and product distribution across hospitals, ambulatory facilities, and clinics. Using Tecsys Supply Chain Planning and related data-driven systems, the Director builds and governs forecasting models, planning parameters, and inventory strategy to balance clinical service requirements with supplier shortages, allocation events, and market volatility. The Director is the enterprise authority on coverage during supply disruptions, quantifies exposure, directs substitution and conservation strategies with Value Analysis and clinical leadership, and escalates evidence to support action before clinical impact. The role supports product standardization by quantifying the demand, inventory, and financial effects of standardization and conversion initiatives, sequencing their execution, and turning clinical variation into a governed, forecastable catalog. The Director leads the demand planning team and advances the CSC’s role as a strategic value center for MUSC Health.
