About The Position

The Director of Demand Planning consolidates enterprise-wide forecasting, demand planning, supply distribution strategy, and supply disruption mitigation for the MUSC Health network under a single accountable leader. Based at the MUSC Health Consolidated Service Center (CSC), the role owns the statistical demand signal that determines what MUSC purchases, where product is stocked, and how it is distributed to hospitals, ambulatory facilities, and clinics. Using Tecsys Supply Chain Planning and related data-driven systems, the Director builds and governs forecasting models, planning parameters, and inventory strategy to balance clinical service line requirements against supplier shortages, allocation events, and market volatility. The Director serves as the enterprise authority on coverage position during supply disruptions, quantifies exposure, directs substitution and conservation strategy with Value Analysis and clinical leadership, and escalates evidence to support action before clinical impact. Demand Planning also enables product standardization across MUSC hospitals and clinics. The Director quantifies the demand, inventory, and financial impact of standardization and conversion initiatives, sequences their execution, and turns clinical variation into a governed, forecastable catalog. The Director leads the demand planning team and advances the CSC's role as a strategic value center for MUSC Health.
