About The Position

Praescient Analytics is seeking a Huntsville-based Director of Defense Growth & Strategy to establish and scale the company’s defense business across Huntsville and the Redstone Arsenal community. The role builds on Praescient’s existing footprint and focuses on developing a sustainable regional portfolio, rather than primarily tracking pipeline or writing proposals. The successful candidate will work directly with the CEO and executive leadership to shape regional growth strategy, identify emerging mission requirements, develop industry partnerships, and turn customer needs into contract opportunities. As the portfolio grows, the position is expected to expand into broader executive leadership over local program delivery and operations. The role focuses on Army and broader defense organizations at Redstone Arsenal, including AMC, AMCOM, MDA, SMDC, DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center, MSIC, and Army aviation, missile, acquisition, logistics, and intelligence organizations. The Director will identify opportunities to apply Praescient’s advanced analytics, AI/ML, data engineering, software modernization, and intelligence support capabilities to mission needs. Praescient Analytics is a certified Woman-Owned Small Business founded in 2011. It provides analytics, data integration, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and mission-focused technology solutions to defense, intelligence, and law enforcement customers. The company describes this role as an opportunity to influence its growth, build and lead its Huntsville enterprise, and potentially take on broader executive responsibilities. Compensation is described as highly competitive, with performance-driven growth incentives linked to portfolio expansion; specific compensation figures are not provided. The position is hybrid, with an established local presence in the Huntsville/Redstone Arsenal region required. Travel is primarily in the local area, with possible travel to Washington, DC and other customer locations.
