About The Position

The Director of Community Outreach and Engagement will coordinate and manage outreach, community engagement, Clinic expansion initiatives, and collaborate with the Dean of the college to advance research and community service initiatives.

Requirements

  • Earned a doctorate in a health-related field.
  • A minimum of one year of clinic management.
  • Faculty teaching experience a minimum of 1 year.
  • Research expertise as demonstrated with funding or involvement in research activities.

Nice To Haves

  • National certification in disciple or specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching in the classroom, clinical/campus laboratory field practicum sites, seminars; Participating in CHP meetings and coordination of CHC meetings on a regular basis.
  • Monitors and ensures that clinic protocols and established practices are current and in accordance with state and national guidelines for primary care services.
  • Collaboration with community agencies for health education, health promotion initiatives for faculty and students in the CHP.
  • Planning, supervising, and evaluating community agencies for service-related initiatives that impact student learning and faculty competency.
  • Establishing a community advisory panel to address community needs and provide community assessment and evaluation initiatives.
  • Engaged in community outreach initiatives that address health disparities across the life span.
  • Identifies and implements initiatives to improve access to health care and resources.
  • Directs and coordinates community engagement initiatives to expand primary care services to include behavioral health, care of children, and geriatric care.
  • Establishes initiatives aimed at increasing community awareness and seeking health for the CHC as a primary care facility.
  • Coordinate and manage outreach, community engagement, and clinic expansion initiatives, and collaborate with the Dean of the college to advance research and community service initiatives.
  • Establish, in collaboration with the Dean of the CHP, a program of research aimed at community involvement, student and faculty-led research that addresses health disparities, health inequities, and is inclusive of the community.
