About The Position

The Director of Community Standards and Outreach Education serves as a key member of the Student Affairs team and is responsible for fostering a campus environment that promotes student learning, accountability, well-being, and community responsibility. Reporting to the VP of Student Affairs/Dean of Students the Director serves as the chief conduct officer providing an educational approach to manage, track, and resolve issues regarding student behavioral matters. The Director is specifically responsible for the leadership and administration for student conduct processes, restorative and alternative resolution practices, prevention and outreach educational initiatives, and Deputy Title IX functions. The Director is a member of the institution's Title IX team serving as Deputy Title IX Coordinator and lead investigator. In this role, the Director conducts intake meetings and investigations and assists with campus-wide education on topics related to Title IX, sex-based discrimination and harassment prevention, and institutional policy compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience administering student conduct programs to higher education.
  • Experience conducting Title IX investigations and managing Title IX-related casework.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs in a college or university setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, judicial affairs, social/behavioral science, counseling, or related area preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Institution’s chief conduct officer and primary administrator of the student conduct system.
  • Conduct investigations, hearing, meetings, and administrative reviews of student conduct matters.
  • Assist in policy and protocol development related to student behavior and community expectations.
