About The Position

Valle Verde is seeking an exceptional Community Life Director to lead and inspire our residents in achieving their Best Life. This pivotal role goes beyond traditional activities coordination—it's about shaping a culture of growth, well-being, and empowerment for older adults of all abilities. The Director of Community Life oversees the development and implementation of programming that engages residents to create experiences that inspire their best lives, and promotes/engages team members and residents in our "Best Life" philosophy. "Best Life" is a unique and holistic dementia care approach that helps people and organizations support those living with dementia to live rich and rewarding lives! This role will also involve a person-directed approach toward resident engagement in our new, innovative model of long-term care: four, 8-person small house homes for those who need skilled nursing care.

Requirements

  • Three to Five years of prior related experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, recreation therapy, aging, business, or related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the development and implementation of programming that engages residents to create experiences that inspire their best lives.

  • Coaches a team to achieve goals within every area of the community – independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing.
