About The Position

The Director of Clinical Administration provides strategic and operational leadership for clinical infrastructure, administrative systems, and quality oversight across Redwood Community Services (RCS). This role ensures that clinical operations, documentation, compliance, and quality improvement functions are aligned with regulatory requirements, best practices, and RCS’s mission and strategic goals. The Director of Clinical Administration serves as a senior leader responsible for strengthening clinical administrative systems, overseeing agency-wide quality and compliance processes, and supporting clinical leadership through data-informed decision-making. This position plays a critical role in promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, ethical practice, and high-quality care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant leadership experience.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License
  • CPR/First Aid
  • background clearances required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative leadership and oversight for clinical systems, processes, and workflows across programs.
  • Ensure clinical documentation practices meet state, federal, licensing, accreditation, and contractual requirements.
  • Serve as a lead administrator for clinical information systems, electronic health records, and data platforms.
  • Partner with clinical and program leadership to standardize administrative practices.
  • Provide administrative oversight and leadership for clinical service billing processes to ensure services are accurately documented, coded, and billed in accordance with Medi-Cal, DHCS, county contracts, and payer requirements.
  • Partner with Billing, Finance, and Program Administration to align clinical documentation standards with billing and reimbursement rules.
  • Ensure clinical workflows, templates, and EHR configurations support compliant and timely claiming for delivered services.
  • Monitor trends in billing denials, disallowances, under-billing, and audit findings related to clinical services; collaborate on corrective action plans as needed.
  • Develop, oversee, and report on the Agency-wide Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) Plan.
  • Review quality and compliance reports with Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Perform data analysis and prepare clinical and administrative reports.
  • Serve as lead administrator for agency accreditation efforts.
  • Support internal and external audits related to clinical documentation and service claiming, including preparation of records, responses to audit findings, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Lead development and review of clinical and administrative policies and forms.
  • Oversee Agency Incident Reports and Special Incident Reports.
  • Analyze incident trends and coordinate improvement efforts.
  • Acts as the agency Compliance Officer
  • Oversees agency grievance procedures and process
  • Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop dashboards and tools for clinical leaders.
  • Serve as a member of the Agency Director Team.
  • Use data and reporting tools to support leadership in understanding the relationship between service delivery, documentation quality, and reimbursement performance.
  • Provides direct supervision to clinical administration and quality-related staff
