Director, Church Engagement

Praxis•New York, NY
•$120,000 - $155,000

About The Position

Praxis is hiring a Director of Church Engagement to lead its work with local churches and universities. The role serves and equips churches and senior pastors, helping them understand and use the Praxis Course and related resources in ways that fit their communities and callings. The Director builds trusted relationships with pastors, removes barriers to participation, and helps churches progress from initial interest to hosting the Course and establishing lasting practices of redemptive formation. The Director develops the strategy for engaging church leaders, networks, and denominations; helps churches host the Praxis Course and integrate it into congregational life; and develops resources that make activation more effective. The role also casts vision for and helps run the Pastor Cohort, contributes to the developing annual Activate gathering, and leads a growing church engagement team. The work is grounded in a posture of service rather than sales, with the aim of helping churches form people who practice generosity, courage, and care for their neighbors. The position is based preferably in New York City, with remote work considered for a highly experienced candidate. Travel includes quarterly team meetings, the annual Praxis Summit, and other gatherings and meetings as needed; Praxis covers travel expenses. The Director reports to the Managing Partner, Media, Brand and Product.
