About The Position

Optimize catering sales and achieve guest satisfaction in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards. This role involves interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates to ensure they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values. The Director of Catering will analyze banquet event orders to ensure all room set-ups, equipment, supplies, staffing, and menus meet or exceed customer expectations. This position is responsible for recommending, implementing, monitoring, and controlling the banquet budget and coordinating with event budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing special packages, and creating new menus and themes within corporate guidelines, in conjunction with sales and convention services. Ensuring adherence to cash handling policies and procedures, and monitoring and controlling the maintenance of the meeting space and equipment to protect hotel assets and ensure a safe work environment are key responsibilities. The role also requires practicing safe work habits, wearing protective safety equipment, and following MSDS and OSHA standards. Other duties may be requested by management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years related sales experience in hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of food/wine is essential.

Responsibilities
