About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Catering to lead our catering operations in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning, client relations, and team leadership within the hospitality or food service industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional catering experiences.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in catering management or a similar role.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Proficiency with catering management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all catering operations, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.
• Develop and implement catering strategies to drive revenue growth and market presence.
• Manage and train catering staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments.
• Coordinate with culinary and event teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to catering services.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into catering offerings.
