About The Position

The Director of Catering at Hilton Mystic will lead and oversee all catering operations to ensure exceptional event experiences for our guests. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can manage a dynamic team, coordinate with multiple departments, and deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about selling and creating memorable events while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in catering management, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales and successful event execution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in catering and event management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement catering strategies to meet both individual sales goals and business goals while exceeding client expectations.
  • Manage all aspects of catering sales, planning, and execution for events ranging from small meetings to large-scale celebrations.
  • Collaborate with the sales, culinary, and operations teams to create customized catering packages.
  • Lead and motivate the service team, assisting in training and support to ensure high service standards.
  • Oversee budgeting, pricing, and financial performance of the catering department.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to foster repeat business and partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and Hilton brand standards.
