About The Position

The PCA Group of Companies (PCA) is a privately owned, global beauty holding company, established 36 years ago. Currently led by the founders and the next generation, the Group employs approximately 1500 people across 5 global locations, focusing on omnichannel distribution and fulfillment within the beauty category. PCA comprises multiple subsidiaries, each with distinct leadership, business direction, and separate financial structures. The Director of Business Development & Omnichannel Growth is expected to possess a deep understanding of the beauty industry, brand partnerships, distribution models, and omnichannel retail. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams to transform new opportunities into tangible business successes. The ideal candidate is a proactive business builder adept at managing both relationships and execution. This individual should excel at opening doors, fostering trust, identifying viable business opportunities, negotiating effectively, and ensuring seamless execution post-deal approval. The Director must be strategic, hands-on, organized, professional, and comfortable thriving in a dynamic environment. Key attributes include energy, strong follow-up skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, sales, operations, purchasing, ecommerce, marketing, finance, logistics, and account management teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, brand management, distribution, beauty, consumer products, retail, ecommerce, or a related field
  • Strong experience in the beauty, fragrance, skincare, cosmetics, personal care, wellness, or consumer products industry is strongly preferred
  • Existing relationships with beauty brands, retailers, distributors, manufacturers, brand owners, brokers, agencies, or marketplace partners is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel business, including ecommerce, retail, wholesale, marketplaces, D2C, B2B, dropship, and international distribution
  • Experience with Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, retail.com, specialty retail, international marketplaces, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Ability to understand pricing, margin, forecasts, sales potential, operational needs, and deal profitability
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Strong project management, follow-up, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, opportunities, deadlines, and internal requests at the same time
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and CRM or pipeline tracking tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when needed

Responsibilities

  • Identify, source, and develop new business opportunities across beauty, fragrance, wellness, skincare, haircare, cosmetics, personal care, and related categories
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new brands, vendors, suppliers, retail partners, distributors, and strategic business relationships
  • Develop growth opportunities across retail, wholesale, ecommerce, marketplaces, dropship, D2C, B2B, international, and fulfillment channels
  • Research and target emerging brands, established beauty companies, manufacturers, brand owners, distributors, and potential partners
  • Support expansion into key sales channels including Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop retail.com, specialty retail, international marketplaces, and global ecommerce platforms
  • Lead business conversations from first introduction through proposal, negotiation, approval, and internal handoff
  • Understand partner needs and position PCA’s services, infrastructure, channel access, and operational strengths in a clear and compelling way
  • Review sales potential, pricing, margin, profitability, operational requirements, and long-term value before moving opportunities forward
  • Work closely with internal teams including purchasing, ecommerce, account management, retail, operations, warehouse, logistics, finance, marketing, IT, customer service, and leadership
  • Manage the transition from signed opportunity to internal execution, making sure all key details are properly communicated
  • Create and deliver business presentations, proposals, one-pagers, pitch decks, follow-up emails, and client-facing materials
  • Stay current on beauty industry trends, ecommerce trends, marketplace growth, retail shifts, social commerce, global distribution, and consumer behavior
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, client meetings, vendor meetings, and marketplace events when needed
  • Lead, guide, and support team members involved in business development, outreach, research, client communication, and pipeline follow-up
