About The Position

Our Buildings & Grounds Department has a full-time, 40-hour Director of Buildings & Grounds position available. This position is located at our Slingerlands, NY facility but is responsible for maintenance and oversight of our facilities throughout Warren, Washington & Albany Counties. This is a salaried, overtime exempt position. A typical work week is Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, but scheduling flexibility is required for emergencies and snow removal duties. The annual salary is $90,000 + longevity. This position provides advanced maintenance and oversight and provides direction to the technicians and foremen.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in buildings or grounds maintenance is required.
• Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Must have a strong background and demonstrate proficiency in all of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, building and equipment repair, residential and commercial HVAC systems and repair, and grounds maintenance (plowing, mowing, and/or landscaping projects).
• Job is a manual labor position, and employee is required to stand, lift, kneel and bend regularly throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.
• Must be able to regularly lift 50-75 pounds with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and oversight of facilities throughout Warren, Washington & Albany Counties.
• Provide direction to technicians and foremen.
• Emergency response and snow removal duties.
