About The Position

HCRS is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Benefits to lead the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of our employee benefits programs. This is an opportunity to influence how HCRS supports its staff through competitive, sustainable, and thoughtfully designed benefits. The Director of Benefits will provide strategic oversight of health plans, retirement programs, leave administration, wellness initiatives, employee benefits communication, and regulatory compliance. The position will also serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on benefits strategy, financial performance, risk, and emerging workforce needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or related field required.
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in benefits administration.
  • At least 4 years of leadership or management experience.
  • Strong understanding of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and related regulations
  • Advanced analytical and financial management capabilities
  • The ability to interpret complex information and develop practical, strategic recommendations
  • Strong negotiation, contract, and vendor-management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and project-management abilities
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with HRIS, benefits administration, payroll-related benefits functions, and data analytics systems

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience overseeing self-funded health plans preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs.
