About The Position

ACT Power Services is seeking a full-time Director of Human Resources to execute daily responsibilities for all human resources initiatives as well as support company leadership in championing employee engagement and advancing the ACT Power mission. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who brings experience and creativity to the role and will thrive in a rapidly growing environment.

Requirements

  • Degree in human resources or related field.
  • 10-15 years of human resource experience.
  • Experience with an hourly workforce.
  • Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of multi-state and federal employment laws.
  • Strong analytical ability, demonstrated perseverance, ability to maintain confidential information, and excellent time management skills.
  • Requires excellent verbal, written and relationship management skills.
  • Must demonstrate diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Must be able to perform job duties independently, exercising good judgment and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently, without direct supervision, maintain confidentiality, and take initiative is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for all Human Resources functions, including, but not limited to, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and leadership support and development within their assigned area.
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement processes, training, and initiatives to support the organization’s needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Develop and execute, in partnership with team members, actions to maintain and improve employee engagement.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Respond to and provide guidance to management and team members on employee-related issues, complaints, or problems. Counsel, coach and assist management in handling and addressing employee relation issues.
  • Oversee effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Provide consultation to managers with respect to performance management, employee development, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Partnering with leadership to design and implement effective communications and recognition programs.
