About The Position

Passumpsic Bank is seeking an innovative and strategic leader to serve as our Director of AI & Strategic Automation. This transformative role will drive the Bank’s vision for leveraging Artificial Intelligence to enhance operational efficiency, elevate customer experiences, and empower employees to focus on meaningful, relationship-driven work. The Director of AI & Strategic Automation is a pivotal, forward-looking role responsible for transforming Passumpsic Bank’s operational efficiency and customer engagement through the deployment of Artificial Intelligence. The Director will lead the design and deployment of specialized AI Agents and automated workflows that fundamentally reorient staff capacity toward high-value, human-centric roles. They will be the lead advocate for AI literacy, a guardian of ethical AI governance, and the primary driver of the bank's AI Roadmap. This position sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, ensuring that all AI initiatives strengthen our brand promise, enhance security, and comply with regulatory expectations.

Requirements

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across executive leadership, operations, compliance, information security, and technology teams.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, innovation mindset, and ability to adapt in a rapidly evolving technology environment.
  • Strong ability to deconstruct complex, manual business processes and re-engineer them using automation and AI.
  • Deep understanding of data privacy and the security risks associated with internal vs. external data sharing (specifically within the Google Workspace ecosystem).
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including generative AI, agentic systems, retrieval-based architectures, and workflow automation.
